It seems that another Cold War is inevitable. The evil Russians threaten the security of the world with their invasion of Georgia and after all "In the 21st century, nations don't invade other nations." Welcome to your one-stop shop for betting on elections from around the World.
2008 looks set to be a year to remember with what promises to be one of the most colorful US Presidential elections of recent times. Some commentators believe that change is definitely blowing in the wind but as we've seen so many times before the only opinion that really counts in the opinion of American voters on polling day in November.
Interesting times lay ahead on this side of the pond too following Ireland's rejection of the Lisbon Treaty. If he can drag himself away from posing for photos with his model wife for glossy magazines, Nicolas Sarkozy will need to address the situation during France's EU Presidency. Having only just removed the last vestiges of the Tony Blair era in Downing Street, Gordon Brown needs to turn things around dramatically if he wants to be in power beyond the next General Election. Difficult times lay ahead for the red side of parliament, but with Maggie Thatcher looking unlikely to launch a challenge for Number 10, it's unlikely that things will get as bad as the 80s we'll have the ankle warmers and hairspray on standby just in case. An Taoiseach Brian Cowen also faces a daunting task as Ireland suffers more than most from the global slowdown and he needs to convince a few doubters that he is the man to guide the economy through these choppy waters.
We'll also be offering betting on topical political affairs as and when they happen both at home and abroad. So if you know and love your politics we hope you stop by often and if you want to suggest any political bets that we're not currently offering please feel free to suggest a bet by e-mail.
Enjoy, and be lucky!

Wheeling out a member of a dynasty like the Kennedy’s to give a speech was a shrewd move to unite the party but it will be a tough act to follow for Barack Obama at the Democratic Convention in Denver. Ted Kennedy gave a rousing speech and, given his current state of health, it was impressive. What will Barack do to upstage this titan of US Politics? Drop in by parachute? His wife Michelle played the old ‘we have a dream’ and tacky, too-cheesy-to-be-real-family...

2008 could see the first African-American or female elected as the president of the United States of America. “Hang on,” you might be thinking, “this website hasn’t been updated for ages, because Hillary Clinton is out of the running to be President.” You’re right on one count, Clinton is gone, but someone else has taken on her mantle and is fighting for women to be represented. Paris Hilton (pictured left, reading SunTzu's Art of...
